Hello everyone! My name is Andoni and I will be one of your lecture ambassadors and lab TA. I took the class Summer 2023 and my tip is to find a friend in the class to practice with. That way you can quiz and also teach each other which we know is very helpful for learning. A new language is easier to learn when you can practice with someone. Good luck!

Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa and I will be one of your lecture ambassadors, and a lab TA. I took the class Summer 2023. One tip I have for students is to PLEASE watch the videos and take notes before coming to class. The purpose of lecture is to build on top of the knowledge you gained from the videos as we will focus on comprehension of the material through iclickers and critical thinking questions. Missing a video or two happens as life happens but be sure to catch up as soon as possible to avoid a pile up. Hi everyone! My name is Brenda and I will be one of your lecture ambassadors, and a lab TA. I took the class Fall 2024. Helpful Tip: Anatomy can be overwhelming if you don’t study seriously from day one and make sure you understand the concept by making connections. I recommend studying with spaced repetition and active recall as often as possible. Be curious and enjoy the learning process! Any questions you have doubts on or get wrong is an opportunity to learn. Invest in your education by putting in the effort!

Hey yall, my name is Alex Murillo. I took this course in the summer of 2025. One thing I cannot recommend enough is not to be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes. Dr. Benaduce and the AA's are here to help you, not hurt you. Moreover, if you can, I would highly recommend that you attend happy hours. When studying or reviewing the material, it is very convenient and helpful to have the AA's there to answer any questions or clear up any misunderstandings.

Hi! I’m Briana, and I’m a Biology major on the pre-med track. I took Human Anatomy in Spring 2026 and really enjoyed the class. Outside of classes, I’m also involved in undergraduate research and hope to attend medical school in the future. My biggest tip for Anatomy is to take advantage of the Inspired to Learn quizzes! They helped me practice the material and figure out what I actually understood versus what I needed to review more. I also loved doing a little bit of active recall everyday instead of leaving everything till last minute. Definitely try to keep up throughout each unit instead of waiting until right before the exam. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask questions and enjoy the class because it really is one of the funnest and most rewarding classes you’ll ever take. You got this!

I’m Christopher García and I took the class Fall 2025. My personal tip is to take handwritten notes from the lecture videos before every class and stay consistent. Make sure to read the Puzzle Pieces after the corresponding lecture and, most importantly, before each exam. Attending lab recitations is essential for helpful tips and a deeper understanding of both the lab and lecture material. Putting consistent time and effort into studying for this course will always pay off in your performance and achievements.

Hi everyone! I took the Anatomy course in Spring 2026. One helpful tip I would share for the Anatomy Lab course is to utilize the full practice exams, as they are a great way to identify what topics you need to focus on and review. Additionally, if you’re able to attend Happy Hours, I highly recommend going! It’s a great way to become more comfortable with the model and ask any questions you may have.

Hey guys my name is Daniela. I took anatomy spring of 2025 and have had the pleasure of being an LA for this last fall and spring. My best tip I can give you is that anatomy is like a puzzle everything builds upon each other. It is definitely best not to try to memorize, but to try to understand the concept how structures relate to their location and to each other and how they work. Additionally, use active recall make flashcards, anki, diagrams anything you think is best for you to understand the information efficiently. Overall, Dr. Benaduce gives you all the resources you need to succeed as well as your LAs will always be happy to help. Most importantly, give yourself time and be consistent don’t wait until the last minute to study for an exam. Anatomy is a beautiful subject and it is a privilege and important to learn for your future health career. It may seem hard at first, but once you get the puzzle it’s easy to understand. Looking forward to a great semester ahead!

Hello everyone! My name is Daniela De la Rosa, and I will be one of your lecture ambassadors. My advice to you is not to fall behind, keep up with the content for the week, and come prepared before the lectures. This class has a lot of material, and it is not something you can study all in one day right before the exams. My biggest tip is to COMPLEMENT the videos and Puzzle Pieces with practice questions. The more questions you do, the better! I personally like practicing with friends, but AI powered quiz apps like Gizmo and even chat GPT have also helped me consolidate my anatomy knowledge. They are great tools for practicing and testing yourself, but make sure that the questions and answers they generate are actually correct.

Hi guys!!! My name is Daniela, but you can call me Dany . One piece of advice I can give you to succeed in this course is: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! You will have access to all the material you need beforehand, so take advantage of that. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and make sure you attend recitation.Something else that helped me a lot was using AI tools like ChatGPT, not to do the quizzes for you , but to practice what you learned in class. I used to drive a lot, so I would talk to ChatGPT about what I had learned and have it ask me questions to test my understanding. GOOD LUCK!!! You got this!

Watch the lecture videos!! Watch them and make sure to write down any points where there was a lot of information and then go back and write notes about those parts to make sure you understand them.

Hi! I took this class in Fall 2025, and my biggest tip is to form study groups. Even if you don’t already have friends in the class (like I didn’t), make the effort to connect with people and attend any study sessions that are happening. Building those connections is so helpful when preparing for exams. Studying with others allows you to reinforce what you know by teaching it, while also getting help with topics you’re unsure about. It really makes a difference. Trust me, you’ve got this! Looking forward to a fun and successful semester with everyone 🙂

I took the class Spring 2025. Helpful Tip: Study a little each day to stay on top of the material. Reviewing with a study group can be really helpful, as explaining concepts to others reinforces your understanding. Don’t be afraid to create silly memory tricks, they really work! You’ve got this!

Hi Everyone My name is Isa and I took Anatomy Lecture + Lab in fall 2025. My biggest tip is to stay consistent and keep up with the material, but also enjoy the process! Read the puzzle pieces, watch the videos while you drive, workout, eat, etc, and take notes. Flashcards are a game changer! Anki or Gizmo are my favorite apps for flashcards, you can do it on your phone at any time. Anatomy is challenging, but it’s also incredibly interesting, rewarding, and fun!!!. Ask questions, stay curious, and have fun learning 🙂

Hi everyone! My name is Isabella, I will be one of your Lecture Social Media Anatomy Ambassador! I took Anatomy in Spring 26 and a helpful tip for you all would be to take advantage of everything Dr. Benaduce provides for you. Everything might seem daunting at first, but once you get a routine down, you will be set. I recommend taking handwritten notes when watching all the lecture videos and color coding everything in order to retain the info. I also found the puzzle piece notes great for studying specifically for the final, since you can see everything in a more condensed format. Lastly, make sure to pay attention to lab and study that well since it all ties in together with lecture. I hope you all have a great semester and it will all make sense at the end!!

Hello everyone, my name is Jasmin Alonso and I took this class Summer A 2026. The way I succeeded in this class was by preparing handwritten notes with drawings before lecture using the videos. After note-taking I'd take the practice puzzle piece quiz to check my knowledge before class. Lastly, I'd read the puzzle pieces after class to fill in anything I missed from either the lecture video or lecture itself. I wish you the best of luck in this class!

This class can be a lot to handle, so it makes all the difference when you actually WANT to study the material rather than doing it just because it is your responsibility. Engage in class, get to know your peers, and laugh at Dr. Benaduce's jokes. The bare minimum: watch the lecture videos and come to class with notes, you'll thank yourself later.

After watching the lectures, I would read over the puzzle piece notes and write extra notes on information that I missed or didn't remember. This was super beneficial for little details that ended up coming up on exams!

Hello everyone, my name is Nailyn and I took the class Spring 2026. A tip that I have is to hand write your puzzle piece notes and color code them, I also recommend drawing things (even if they are not the best drawings) because knowing what things look like can help with connecting different structures and their locations which can help with understanding their functions as well. In addition to these puzzle piece notes, I found it very helpful to also write separate notes in class while Dr. Benaduce would teach and explain, even if the information seemed repetitive. These things really helped me absorb the information and understand it better.

I took the class Fall 2024. Helpful Tip: When you're taking this course, make sure to watch all the videos and take good notes. After that, try reading the textbook to really reinforce what you've learned. If you do not have time to read it before class, try to do it after class or before the exams. It helped me a lot when I took the class! The class might feel a little overwhelming at first, but don't stress—everyone figures it out. Anatomy is such an amazing subject, and Dr. Benaduce makes it super easy to follow and really interesting. You've got this!

My advice would be to always do both: watch the videos and read the puzzle pieces before coming to class, and then really pay attention and engage in lecture because it will really help you iron out those concepts that you weren’t able to fully get on your own and will also help you apply your prior knowledge in interesting and useful ways. I would also recommend that you get to know your classmates and make study groups and discuss the contents of the class with each other. Happy hours are the perfect time for this. Other than that, remember to stay consistent and enjoy your time in the class, and I promise that you will succeed!

Hi guys, I'm Rey. My tip for you is that on top of taking notes (or instead), read the puzzle pieces/watch the videos and as you do so, make flashcards on Anki as you go. It's much easier to do flashcards anywhere and any time to help with your active recall than taking out your notes and just passively reading. That's how I did it over Summer A in 6 weeks and got an A in lab and lecture 💅🤟🏻 if you need help or want productivity tips, please feel free to come up to me at any time 🙂

Hello everyone, my name is Ronnie, and I took this course in the Summer of 2025. The best advice I can give you is to watch the videos. It is very important to be prepared before each class. If you are not able to take notes to bring to each lecture, the least you can do is watch the videos. However, if you can and have the time, I highly recommend taking notes. Lastly, remember that no question is a dumb question - always ask, and never leave with doubts. Good luck!
